Finance Department/Accounts Payable Clerk
Candidate must be proficient in QB online. Duties include, but aren’t limited to: Sort and distribute incoming mail. Match invoices, obtain approval and proper coding. Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms. Process check requests. Audit and process credit card bills. Match invoices to checks. Respond to all vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements and research and correct discrepancies. Assist in month end closing. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Assist comptroller and other projects as needed. MedHelp clinics has 4 locations in the Birmingham area and we’re always looking to hire qualified medical assistants for each of our busy practices. We’re open 7 days a week: 8 to 8 Monday thru Friday, 8 to 6 on Saturday and 1 to 6 on Sunday. Our MA’s typically work various shifts within all 4 clinics, depending on our staffing coverage and needs. We’re looking for full time, part time/weekends, PRN and flex. Medical Assistants at MedHelp are required to be CPR certified, able to perform a wide range of clinical duties, to include triage, x-ray, phlebotomy, routine labwork (including working knowledge of correct procedures, order of draw, etc.) injections, set-up for and assisting during minor surgical procedures, well versed in medical terminology in order to phone in prescriptions, obtain prior authorizations and effectively communicate with patients regarding lab results, appointments, etc. Someone applying to become a Medical Assistant at MedHelp should have at least 2 years of clinical experience working in a physician’s practice or hospital setting. Medical Billing/Coding Specialist
MedHelp Clinics is seeking a full-time Medical Billing/Coding Specialist in our insurance department. This position is open for immediate employment. This position is for a detail orientated individual with at least 2 years ICD-9 and CPT coding/billing experience preferably in family practice and/or urgent care. Must have extensive knowledge of ICD-9 -CM and CPT coding. Job Requirements: Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Certified Coding Specialist. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, experience in effectively communicating with physicians, medical staff, and management. Must be familiar with medical terminology. Ability to stay up to date on the latest Billing/Coding technologies and best practices. Detail oriented, self starter, with ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, accountability, and commitment to the practice, a proactive, hands on person who will work in partnership to enhance overall value and visibility of the organization.
