Dr. Stephanie Hightower is a family physician that provides primary and urgent care at MedHelp Clinics in Birmingham and also treats opiate dependence at Parkway Medical Center in Birmingham.
She was born and raised in Birmingham, received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University. She later graduated from Meharry Medical College, in Nashville, and received her medical training in Family Medicine at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Medical School Center, Huntsville Campus. With a passion for providing medical care to the underserved, she has practiced in rural and urban community health care settings from Bayou La Batre, Alabama, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana to her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Hightower lives by the motto, “Love Life, Live Well” by actively promoting healthy lifestyle choices to improve the spiritual, mental and physical health of her patients.
