“Two years ago I chanced up on Dr. Swanson at the Lakeshore location. As I recall, the first time I was seen by him I inquired if he was available as a primary physician. Since that time I have seen my overall health improve greatly. His willingness to listen not only to the symptoms, but also to my thoughts on my medical care has allowed me to build a trust that I have not had with any other doctor. I had been in denial regarding high blood pressure for several years and had not been agreeable to taking blood pressure medicine. During one visit Dr. Swanson calmly looked me in the eye and told me that I wasn't a stupid person and that if I didn't do something about my blood pressure it would kill me. That comment, direct, to the point, put the blood pressure issue in a completely different perspective. So often today when you interact with medical professionals you are not allowed to question their actions or have your own thoughts on your medical care. Dr. Swanson treats me with respect and allows me to participate in the process. I am encouraged for the future of medical care when I see the medical students with Dr. Swanson because hopefully they will pick up on what makes him a special doctor.”
“We have been friends with and patients of Dr. Mike for more than 20 years. His manner is encouraging and he tells it like it is. He is obviously up-to-date on the latest medical information and treatment approaches. We like the fact that he takes time to talk with us thoroughly about our situation and doesn't seem to be in a hurry. Makes us feel special. Members of his staff were all positive, competent and friendly. We thought that the wait time between our appointment and the time we saw Dr. Mike was improved from previous visits, but this still should be closer to the actual appointment time. Lab tests were done quickly with an appropriate wait time. We like the fact that so many of the lab tests can be done at your office rather than sent out to the lab and that our medical records are being maintained in an electronic format. We left feeling that my health situation had been carefully assessed and acted on appropriately.”

I saw positive comments about all the Doctors except Dr. Jordan Vaughn. I credit Jordan with saving my life on December 30, 2010. It was the day before my 57th birthday and I thought it would be my last. Dr. Vaughn quickly diagnosed me with multiple pulomonary blood clots which caused a heart
abnormality. He arranged everything at the hospital so that I could quickly be attended to. His father, Dr. Michael Vaughn is now my regular Doctor and I really like him as well. I plan to keep these two on my quick dial for a very long time. Thanks Dr. Jordan and Dr. Mike!
